The brick that continues into the house was finished this week.
Most of the smooth texture on the wall in prep for paint has also been complete.
We also need to choose the exterior paint for the stucco. The consensus is #2 for the warm tones that complements the black brick.
Once the stucco is painted, they will be able to clean all the exterior brick and get the site cleaned up in prep for the interior finishes.
The interior continued to be prepped for paint as the drywall was finished off.
The steel support for the outdoor patio screen was also installed.
Drywall is almost done and the interior “cleaned” to get up most of the drywall dust and debris off the ground.
The exterior brick on the back end of the house and screen in porch is almost wrapped up.
If the weather holds, exterior stucco painting and roof installation will start next week.
Since a crew was working on Saturday, I did a quick trip back this morning. The downstairs master is finished with initial drywall.
Once thing I really like about the design are the baseboards. They are integrated with the drywall so it is a single plane all the way from the ceiling to the floor.
Sound baffles were installed in the ceilings and some interior walls.
Crews were also onsite working on the exterior windows. Now that all the sound baffles are installed, drywall installation can start next week.
Insulation inspection passed so drywall is next on the list.
Drywall was installed in the garage so that insulation could be sprayed in behind it.
All the rooms have giant piles ready to go.
