Drywall is almost done and the interior “cleaned” to get up most of the drywall dust and debris off the ground.
The exterior brick on the back end of the house and screen in porch is almost wrapped up.
If the weather holds, exterior stucco painting and roof installation will start next week.
After a week on vacation, we came back to see lots of progress on both the exterior and interior. The stucco went up very quickly and they are almost done.
Drywall also started and there was a crew continue installation this morning when we stopped by.
With the drywall going up, you really get a sense of the finished room. We are looking forward to what the next week brings.
The vertical wood siding on the front of the house started this week.
The brick work around the entry and guest house is essentially finished.
The work has moved around to the patio and backyard area.
On the interior, the trim work around all the windows and doors is almost wrapped up which will allow the drywall work to start.
Lots of good progress on the exterior this week and the stucco should start next week as well.
When I went yesterday morning, there was a crew on site so we swung by today to see the progress.
The guest suite is almost completely clad in brick.
I was able to get a better shot of the wood over the entry way.
The wood around the entire house is almost complete as well.

In addition, the stucco should also start in the next week. It is starting to feel like a house with all the exterior work.

I stopped by the house quickly this morning to see how things were progressing. The mesh for the stucco is also complete for the entire house.

The long format black brick has also started installation.
It’s very exciting to see the exterior go up as it is starting to look more and more like an actual house.
This house has lots of windows so the installation will continue for the next few weeks. They started the windows that overlook the property on the first floor, and it is going to be impressive when complete.
The exterior brick appears to have started but I’m not sure if this small area was just a test run to confirm mortar color and brick pattern. Either way, the dark brick with matching mortar really looks great.
After the previous week of cold and rain, this week was mostly sunny which allowed the crew to start the window installation.
Windows were delivered and are scattered throughout the house. You can also see further buildout of the staircase in this photo.

Installation will continue for the next week or two and the 10 day weather forecast shows it should be mostly dry so hopefully no more weather delays until they all get done.
